Mr. Arun Leslie George serves as the President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Coromandel International Limited. He brings with him over three decades of strategic HR leadership experience. Mr. George laid foundation for his HR career in 1990 when he began working as a Management Trainee at EID Parry India Ltd. During his tenure, he implemented robust talent management frameworks, focusing on recruitment, succession planning and talent development programs to cultivate a skilled and motivated workforce.

Mr. George obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Madras and pursued a Master’s degree with a specialization in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from Loyola College, Chennai. Mr. George is a Fullbright Scholar, who successfully completed a General Management Program at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and an Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in Boston.

In 2015 he moved to a business role to head the SSP business where he successfully turned around the business. In 2019 he took over as the head of Retail business where he turned around the business and set it on a high growth trajectory.

He has been a speaker at various national and international conferences including Confederation of Indian Industries, flagship program of Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, SHRM’s Thought Leaders Retreat at Chicago, etc.
